Cantamar is a great community of well-maintained single-family homes
located in the Town of Cutler Bay, Florida (south Miami-Dade County).
We are well-located just minutes from shopping,
major highways and Black Point Marina.
Our strong Homeowners' Association with low fees
maintains Cantamar as a safe and attractive family-oriented community,
and also sponsors fun and free activities for both children and adults.

April Board of Directors Meeting

At the April 21st meeting of the Board of Directors
HOA business was discussed.

the Board discussed moving some money to our "reserves."
The Board also reminded residents that our homes
cannot be rented out as an Air B&B business.

Let's Have a Park on Old Cutler Road

Park

Thanks to all of our residents
(and residents from throughout Cutler Bay)
who attended the Town Council Meeting on March 16th
and spoke up in favor of the Park.

From a Homeowner who attended the meeting:

Great meeting with a wonderful turn out.

Next time I will speak and represent the Cantamar community.
There were representatives from Cutler Cay and Old Cutler Glen
and others at the meeting.

Really refreshing! The concept for the park is wonderful!
It will be such an enhancement to our communities and
a natural preserve with access to the Bay!!!

The area under contention is a 9-acre area which abuts wetlands
currently being restored by volunteers.
This 9 acres is owned by a high rise developer and
thankfully the first plan was shot down.
One of the speakers presented that since this developer
is not specialized in building single-family homes that
the Town should negotiate the developer donating the land or
the Town should step in and purchase the land .
One community even offered to contribute toward purchasing the land…
a lot of passion!

There is still a ways to go and a lot of political mumbo jumbo;
truly, it was so evident by the Mayor and Vice Mayor’s responses and questions
(in addition to the others at their side).

Let’s Get a Park!

Thanks to Livablecutler for the great image of this beautiful area.
This is what we're working to save!

Another Impressive Softball Season

Cantamar Softball Team

Team Cantamar was unable to win our 5th straight Championship.
But we still finished with a great record—
winning first place in the regular season, going 9-1.
We lost in the first round of the playoffs,
done in by a 15-run 4th inning by the opponent.
We made a nice comeback, but still fell short with a score of 22-18.

Hopefully we can start a new Championship streak.
The next season starts again in a couple of weeks

Cantamar is looking for a new Social Committee Chair

Many thanks to Ann Marie & Rodney Khadoo
for all their hard work managing our social events the past few years.
Unfortunately, work and business obligations won't allow them to continue.

The Social Committee Chair works with the Board of Directors
to plan and manage our great social events like the Halloween Party and Santa's Visit.
The Board is also looking to the Social Chair for suggestions of new events.

If you'd like to volunteer,
please contact the Board of Directors at board@cantamarhoa.org
