Cantamar is a great community of well-maintained single-family homes
located in the Town of Cutler Bay, Florida (south Miami-Dade County).
We are well-located just minutes from shopping,
major highways and Black Point Marina.
Our strong Homeowners' Association with low fees
maintains Cantamar as a safe and attractive family-oriented community,
and also sponsors fun and free activities for both children and adults.

Santa Visits Cantamar

Santa

We had a wonderful visit from Santa Claus on December 14th.
It was great to see a lot of familiar faces,
and to meet some new neighbors too.

The day was a little cool (but sunny),
so everyone enjoyed the hot chocolate and cookies.
Santa has a way with children,
and even got some who were skeptical to sit on his lap.

But maybe best of all, we collected a nice selection of toys
for the Cutler Bay Police Toy Drive
.

Another successful Halloween Party!

Halloween

Once again a ghoulish spell was cast over Cantamar
this past October 31, 2014.
As the sun set, little creatures began to congregate
at our cul-de-sac on SW 88th Avenue demanding treats in exchange for tricks.
They came in droves, but thanks to great backup
(Cutler Bay police force and the Cantamar HOA),
we were able to meet their demands with no tricks or injuries.
These little creatures ate candy, pizzas, popcorn, doughnuts,
and participated in many events such as the apple bobbing contest.
They jumped in the bounce house, danced to the music being played,
and had a good time.

Once the designated area was closed off for the evening,
these creatures were seen wandering around the neighborhood
where many homes had set up BBQs on their front lawns
to feed their growing appetites.
Cantamar was the epicenter of Halloween,
but, once again, we survived the invasion unscathed!
Let's see what happens next year...

BIG THANKS to Ann Marie and Rodney (Social Committee Chairs)
for organizing the Halloween Party!!!!!
Once again, it was a great success and that's because of great leadership.
Ann Marie and Rodney made it look easy (but we know better).
Thanks for your hard work.

Also, thanks to James (couldn't be done without him)
and the rest of the crew.
The success of the Halloween party was dependent
on the efforts of the entire group and those who volunteered.
In Cantamar we know how to come together.

Squatters

Miami-Dade County has experienced an increase in squatters.
We need to be vigilant to prevent this situation from occurring in Cantamar.
If you live next to a vacant home, please keep an eye out and
contact the police in the event you see any suspicious activity taking place.
Please also notify T & G Management by email,
james@tgms.com, so we can monitor neighborhood activity.
